Prayer Book series
Aged metal tiles are immersed in layers of encaustic wax and imagery to become free standing open “books” depicting ancient prayers. The symbols and prayers used are often in unfamiliar languages, which can be sensed rather than read. While the prayers come from very diverse cultures, they demonstrate our commonality in our desire to connect with the divine.
